Our Waitoa Primary Processing site is a fast-paced, technically complex environment where your electrical expertise will be front and centre every single day.
The roster - work hard, then switch off properly
- 4 on / 4 off four days on, four days completely off
- Hours: 4:30am – 4:15pm
- Shift allowances included on top of your base rate

What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you'll be the electrical expert keeping our site running at its best:
- Proactive maintenance and rapid-response repairs on plant machinery, production lines, and facility systems
- Install, test, and commission new electrical equipment and systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and automation faults - PLC, SCADA, VSD & Servo Drives
- Collaborate on continuous improvement projects with production and engineering teams
- Participate in planned shutdowns, major installations, and system upgrades
- Ensure all work meets electrical codes, safety legislation, and food safety standards
What you'll bring
Must-haves:
- Current EWRB registration — or equivalent overseas qualification with the ability to obtain EWRB registration in NZ
- 3+ years in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Solid hands-on experience with PLC, SCADA, VSD & Servo Drive systems
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- Flexibility for occasional on-call work
- Commitment to safety, compliance, and food safety standards
Great to have:
- Mechanical skills or dual-trade background
- Experience with CMMS or maintenance management systems
