Job Description

Your opportunity to join our team

The purpose of the Quality Assurance Supervisor role is to ensure compliance and to liaise with and coach production staff to ensure that the Company’s quality standards are met. To identify and implement improvement opportunities to develop the quality systems.

Responsibilities include

  • Manage team to meet expected performance using coaching, development and recognition
  • Hold team accountable for achieving expected outcomes, delivering on individual and team goals
  • Ensure compliance to all Ingham’s, regulatory and customer requirements
  • Ensure Ingham’s animal welfare standards are met
  • Review quality records and supporting documentation
  • Analyse data (trending) to drive continuous improvement
  • Monitor and report on KPIs for food safety, animal welfare and quality
  • Audit and verify the correct implementation of the plant HACCP Programme and quality systems.
  • Ensure consistency of quality systems across shifts
  • Investigate non-conformances (eg customer complaints, non-conforming product), support identification and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Review effectiveness of Corrective Actions
  • Support production in mock recalls and mass balance exercises
  • Lead third party audits
  • Complete internal audits

You will bring to this role

  • Tertiary Qualified (preferably food science or veterinary or a related discipline)
  • At least 3 years QA experience
  • HACCP training
  • Strong understanding of food production including food safety, pathogen control and animal welfare
  • Excellent Intrapersonal and influencing skills
  • Problem Solving
  • Project Management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Excel
