Job Description

Your opportunity to join our team

As a Product Development Technologist (Compliance), your role will be involved in assisting with managing product development projects from concept through to commercialisation. You will be the first port of call regarding product specification management which will see you execute product specifications updates as required to ensure ongoing accuracy and compliance.  This is an exciting role that is at the forefront of new and delicious products  for Ingham’s and our customers. Not only that, but you will be responsible for fine tuning and improving on our already well loved products

Responsibilities include

  • Generate company specifications and technical documentation to ensure compliance with NZ Legislation and customer requirements as well as to support production and sales activities.
  • Conduct annual reviews of product specifications to ensure they are current and relevant.
  • Obtain, review, update and upload the specifications of packaging and raw materials.
  • Maintain Product Development databases including ingredients and allergens.
  • Liaise with key customer’s, Sales and Production teams to enable new product costings and samples to be supplied as required.

Assist with:

  • Ensuring new product costings are generated in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Helping initiate and develop concepts and innovation ideas to support the company growth in all business areas, particularly those identified as key business priority.
  • Helping identify areas of improvement on product and production processes and actively engage with relevant areas to review and discuss.

You will bring to this role

  • A Food Technology or Food Science tertiary qualification would be beneficial  
  • Sound computer skills and ability to show initiative
  • An understanding of FSANZ and other food regulatory requirements
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
  • The ability to be adaptable and flexible
