Job Description

Industrial Electrician – Further Processing Plant, Cambridge

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Industrial Electrician to join our Further Processing team in Cambridge. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for carrying out planned electrical maintenance, helping to drive reliability and minimise downtime across the site.

We're after someone who’s self-driven, solutions-focused, and brings solid experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial setting.

Hours of Work:

  • Monday: 5:00 am – 2:30 pm

  • Tuesday to Friday: 5:30 am – 2:30 pm

  • Availability to work overtime on Saturdays when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and respond to plant maintenance and breakdowns

  • Investigate faults, carry out root cause analysis (RCA), and implement long-term fixes

  • Support the Engineering Manager with continuous improvement initiatives and electrical upgrades

  • Manage critical electrical spare parts to ensure availability

What We’re Looking For:

  • NZ-recognised Electrical Trade Qualification - must be registered with EWRB

  • Strong background in preventative maintenance and fault-finding (ideally within food manufacturing)

  • Experience working with industrial automation, PLCs, and control systems

  • Proven ability to contribute to and lead improvement projects

  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity with CMMS software is an advantage

  • Solid understanding of Health & Safety standards and compliance

  • Excellent communicator and team player, with the ability to work independently when needed.
