The Health & Safety Coordinator provides on-site support to operational teams, promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring the wellbeing of our people. This role focuses on delivering practical HSE guidance, supporting the implementation of our WHS Management System, driving risk reduction, injury prevention, and proactive training. The Coordinator also assists with Workers’ Compensation and Return to Work, working closely with teams to support continuous improvement.
Responsibilities include
- Works closely with the site operational team to implement and maintain the health safety systems
- Provide relevant site information to contribute to reports and KPI information to allow managers to make informed decisions for the business
- Supports the training and implementation of Inghams’ WHS practices and Safety for Life program for employees.
- Engage site teams and deliver relevant tool box talks and Health and Safety specific training.
- Organise and facilitate site Health and Safety committee meetings with Senior Health and Safety guidance.
- Take part in audits
- Identify risks within the field and do risk assessments
Work closely with the injury management team regarding claims associated with your Site to support care of people through the injury and return to work process.
You will bring to this role
- Previous experience within Health and Safety minimum 2 years and/or experience within manufacturing
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate cross functionally to build strong relationships and influence key stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills with the strong capabilities of working with multiple pieces of data and transforming them into meaningful relevant information for employees to understand.
- Computer skills, Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
- Willing to learn and develop and gain H&S qualifications
