The QA Officer will ensure that all products meet stringent quality, safety, and regulatory standards. A strong focus for the role will be auditing.
This position is a afternoon / evening shift. Monday - Friday / 02h30pm - 11h00pm
ABOUT THE POSITION
Some Key Responsibilities will include:
- Audit and verify the correct implementation of the plant HACCP Programme.
- Inspect Raw Materials along the process, from incoming goods to stock reconciliation after production.
- Monitor meat / mix preparation, temperature and conformance to product formulation.
- Monitor critical quality and food safety control points and initiate corrective action where necessary.

- Verify compliance to supplier quality standard requirements and participate in external audits by third party external auditing bodies.
- Develop and maintain the Plant Quality Manual and HACCP programme in association with National Quality Manager NZ.
ABOUT YOU
- Previous experience working in a Quality role or Tertiary qualification related to Quality and Food Safety with a minimum of 2 years experience
- Experience with HACCP and the food production environment
- Good eye for detail and accuracy
- Advance computer skills
- Problem solver and quick learner
- Flexible around working hours - rostered shifts
