About the role
As a Live Bird Truck Driver on our breeder farms, you will transport live birds between our farm sites across the region. You will also work alongside our catching teams during a catch, loading and unloading the forklift and equipment they rely on to get the job done safely and on time.
Day to day, you will:
- Transport live birds between breeder farm sites safely and on schedule
- Support the catching teams during each catch, including loading and unloading forklifts and equipment
- Adhere to our biosecurity processes and policies at every site you visit
- Follow our Animal Welfare policies and procedures at all times
- Operate forklifts in confined spaces and sheds while on site
About you
- You hold a current Class 5 licence (minimum)
- You have OSH and forklift endorsements
- You have experience driving a Road Ranger gearbox
- You are confident driving in confined spaces and reversing with a trailer
- Experience in the livestock or poultry industry is a bonus
This role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday on a rotational roster with early morning starts. We are looking for someone flexible, as occasional Saturday work may be required.
