Job Description

Times: Monday to Friday 21:45 to 05:30.(7 hours x 5)

Supervise work on alternate Sundays, 4.5 hours – Time TBC  manage a crew of +/- 13

Your opportunity to join our team

The purpose of the Hygiene Supervisor role is to lead and coordinate the Hygiene function across all shifts at the Further Processing plant, providing direction and support to the Hygiene Team Leaders to ensure the plant is cleaned and sanitised to the standard required for food safety, quality and customer audit compliance. The Supervisor is accountable for the overall performance of the Hygiene team

Responsibilities include

  • Oversee delivery of the Hygiene programme across all lines and shifts, ensuring the Master Sanitation Schedule is completed to standard and on time.
  • Work with other Supervisors to manage time on the line and predict production times
  • Own the Hygiene roster across all shifts, balancing staffing levels against production requirements and approving leave.
  • Review QC/QA and pre-operational inspection results, identify trends and take corrective action on repeat quality or hygiene breaches.
  • Manage the Hygiene consumables, chemicals, monitoring spend and identifying cost efficiencies.
  • Act as the plant's point of escalation for Hygiene matters, reporting to the Site Manager on team, safety and quality concerns.
  • Support internal and external audits (SEDEX/SMETA, customer and regulatory) by ensuring Hygiene documentation and standards are audit-ready at all times.

You will bring to this role

  • Previous experience in a Team Leader or supervisory role within a manufacturing, food production or poultry environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing staff
  • Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene and sanitation principles (HACCP knowledge advantageous).
  • Clear understanding of the poultry industry preferable.
