Inghams is seeking a Production Planning Manager who will drive and develop the site planning team in a range of planning activities. This role will be based at Inghams Primary Processing site in Murarrie, Queensland.

Responsibilities include

  • Work closely with the Plant Manager, Engineering Manager and Distribution Manager. You will be part of the national supply planning team to generate master production plans and schedules to effectively fulfil the end to end supply chain requirements.
  • Manage and develop the site planning team, ensure clear KPI's and development plans are set.
  • Capture the process constraints and further optimise tools required.
  • Monitor and measure actual production versus schedule and plan how to maximise the output.
  • Create reporting to provide insights on critical performance areas.
  • Conduct analysis and use historical data to assist in identifying resource improvement opportunities.
  • Understand enterprise agreements to ensure labour practices are compliant across the business.
  • Work with Livestock supply team to develop optimal factory plans, weekly and daily agility.
  • Work closely with distribution team and the replenishment teams, to optimise interstate transfers and overall demand fulfilment
  • Collaborate with replenishment and sales teams on managing inventory exceptions

You will bring to this role

  • Experience and knowledge of managing a planning function in a complex working environment. Ideally within the FMCG, manufacturing or distribution industry. Short shelf life industry preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the strong capabilities of working with multiple pieces of data and transforming them into meaningful relevant information for the wider business to understand.
  • Advanced Microsoft Skills, High fluency in Excel is essential.
  • Passionate about driving continuous improvement initiatives, with the ability to understand the business effect especially in areas such as safety and quality.
  • Inclusive in management style, with the capabilities to engage a team, create a collaborative working environment.
  • Ability to coach and develop others, monitor and measure performance and provide direct feedback.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation.
  • High fluency in Excel is essential, high fluency in Power BI is preferred

Qualifications/Licences

  • Tertiary qualification in Business or similar discipline, APICS (ASCI) or other supply chain qualifications seen as highly regarded.
