As the Supply Planner based at Inghams' Primary Processing facility at Burton, South Australia, your role is central to creating and implementing procurement plans that ensure the efficient sourcing, delivery, and availability of supplies and ingredients across the processing operation. With many moving parts — from raw material lead times to production scheduling demands — this role will see you working closely with key stakeholders including suppliers, production, and logistics teams to achieve optimal stock availability and cost-effective procurement outcomes that enable the facility to consistently meet customer demands.

Daily Tasks:

  • Building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships to create procurement and supply plans that ensure the timely availability of ingredients and materials across the processing facility
  • Monitoring stock levels, supplier lead times, and order fulfilment rates in accordance with company strategy and contractual obligations
  • Keeping abreast of any major or critical supply deviations and escalating where required; supporting team training and development to build procurement capability
  • Working with key stakeholders across production, logistics, and finance to align supply plans with processing schedules and operational demand
  • Informing and updating relevant departments of any alterations to supply or procurement plans in a timely manner
  • Weekly reporting of supply performance, procurement attainment, and variance to plan for further analysis and continuous improvement
  • Contributing to projects involving supply chain optimisation and process improvement, and providing support to the projects team where required

 

You Will Bring to This Role:

  • Experience in supply planning, procurement, or inventory management, ideally within food manufacturing or FMCG
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including demand planning, supplier management, and stock control
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • The ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and operational demands
  • Proficiency in computer systems, with experience in ERP or production planning software highly regarded
