We are seeking a dedicated, experienced Leading Hand to join our team at Inghams Breeder  Leeville Farm. In this hands-on role, you will assist with day-to-day farm operations, support the welfare of our livestock, maintain farm facilities, and contribute to high-quality production standards whilst leading a team of Farm Hands.

This is a fantastic opportunity for those who enjoy working with animals, have a strong work ethic, and are looking to grow your career in a stable and rewarding role in the poultry industry.

We offer a competitive hourly rate with a rotating roster across 7 days.

Responsibilities include

• Lead and develop a team of dedicated Farm Hands
• Ensure minimum standards and animal welfare objectives are achieved
• Manage the farm in the absence of the Breeder Farm Manager
• Establish and uphold safety standards, implementing corrective actions as needed
• Have good organisational and time management skills

You will bring to this role

• Previous leadership experience is desirable however not essential
• Flexibility to work hours as the rotating roster requires early mornings and weekend work.
• Basic IT skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Mechanically minded
• Previous poultry farming experience is advantageous
