We are looking for an experienced Supervisor to join our Lytton team to manage our labelling production room, known at Inghams as the Weigh Label Room (WLR).  The WLR is a busy production environment operation across 3 shifts, 24 hrs a day/ 5 days a week.

This Supervisor will be required to work Monday to Friday from 2-10pm, overseeing both the afternoon and night shifts, comprising around 45 team members who are responsible for inspecting, packing, weighing and labelling poultry products. 

We are looking for someone from a similar production environment with experience managing a large team in a fast paced, KPI-driven environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of a busy production environment
• Manage the rostering and rotation of 45 team members including Team Leaders, across 2 shifts, ensuring optimal efficiencies are achieved while meeting KPI targets
• Partner closely with the other WLR Supervisor to ensure all weekend shifts and overtime are covered
• Lead and motivate your team, fostering a positive culture for both individuals and the group to achieve individual, team and site objectives
• Coach and develop a high-performing team, ensuring adherence to policies and providing clear expectations and ongoing support
• Set and achieve key performance goals
• Plan for team growth, developing all members for future roles
• Manage resources effectively, using labour and equipment to maximise safety, profitability, and meet customer needs
• Support the Team Leaders to drive performance to deliver on customer expectations
• Collaborate with the Sales and Planning teams to determine demand, supply and labour requirements
• Work with other teams to find ways to improve processes and reduce costs
• Manage and reduce product wastage coming out of the WLR
• Ensure equipment maintenance is regularly carried out
• Manage a P&L and analyse data to improve operations and customer satisfaction
• Demonstrate company values and behaviours consistently

Key requirements:

• Previous experience working in a fast-paced production/ manufacturing environment with a proven track record of achieving positive operational outcomes
• Strong knowledge of supply chain logistics in FMCG, including Cold Chain, GMP, and HACCP
• Proven experience driving continuous improvement, with knowledge of 5S, TPM, Lean, and Six Sigma
• Superior leadership skills, able to build rapport quickly and effectively to create a highly collaborative working environment
• Experience in leading, coaching and developing a large team
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally and build strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders 
• High attention to detail and demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and organise work demands whilst meeting tight deadlines
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with proficiency in Excel and managing a P&L
