We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our Maintenance team Inghams Further Processing Site at Thomastown. Reporting to the Maintenance Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for providing preventative maintenance to the site's manufacturing equipment to ensure maximum uptime and prolonged reliability.
With strong leadership experience, you will have excellent communication skills that can connect with colleagues at all levels. You will have a proven track record for delivering results and performance through collaboration and the development of your team.
This is a fast-paced environment, so it’s essential you can think on your feet, respond to issues in a timely effective manner and be able to deal with multiple priorities.

Daily Tasks
- Drive preventive maintenance programs and proactively identify and address plant issues before they occur.
- Responsible for delivery of general repairs and maintenance services across the site.
- Respond to reactive general maintenance work and rectify faults and breakdowns in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions to minimise production disruptions.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to prioritise maintenance tasks and support production schedules.
- Undertake a broad range of maintenance works including but not limited to equipment installations, overhauls, mechanical and electrical repairs.
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
You will bring to this role
- Trade qualification (Mechanical or Electrical)
- Maintenance supervisor experience
- Flexible and adaptable. Able to respond positively to change and high-pressure situations.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
- Technical understanding of different maintenance strategies and asset health principles
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage team members and ability to work with contractors/service providers.
- Flexible to work on AM, PM and Weekends shift and time adjustment as requested to suit business
- Experience with maintenance planning and scheduling using CMMS – Maximo, SAP or MEX is an added advantage.
