As Quality Assurance Supervisor you will support the QA Manager in leading the site's quality programs, ensuring compliance with food safety, animal welfare and regulatory standards.
This is an Afternoon shift role from 2-10pm, based at our Osborne Park Primary Processing facility. It’s a hands-on position working in a fast-paced environment where you will spend a large part of your time managing the food safety & quality management systems, along with focusing on the factory floor.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist the QA Manager in leading the site’s Product Pride Program
- Supervise and manage the Quality Assurance team
- Manage the micro-testing program, ensuring samples are taken on time and reports reviewed
- Oversee the pest control program, ensuring services are managed, reports reviewed and corrective actions carried out
- Investigate and respond to customer complaints and product non-conformances
- Manage the site’s internal auditing program, including preparation and corrective action follow-ups
- Manage the site mock recall, mass balance & traceability exercises
- Collate and review quality testing results, oversee corrective actions and manage verification schedules in line with HACCP and QMR
- Assist in the planning and execution of new product and process trials
- Adhere to workplace safety rules; identify and escalate hazards and risks
- Collaborate with Operations to maintain compliance and support improvement programs
- Identify, escalate and verify issues relating to animal welfare, food safety, and quality compliance
Key requirements:
- Proven leadership experience in a food manufacturing quality role
- Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards
- Knowledge of BRC and CFSMR audit processes
- External training on HACCP & internal auditing
- Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with operations and quality teams
- Strong organisational and documentation skills
