Job Description

Your opportunity to join our team

Based at Tahmoor, Inghams Turkey Primary Processing Site. As the Quality Supervisor you will support the Site Quality Assurance Manager by ensuring accurate and cost-effective food safety, animal welfare and quality assurance monitoring and verification processes. You will work closely with the operational team and lead and mentor the sites quality control inspectors.

This a six month maternity leave cover, starting immediately.

Responsibilities include

  • Lead the site’s quality function to ensure effective operation and performance.
  • Developing, maintaining and implementing the site Quality Management System including HACCP/ food safety, pathogen control, animal welfare and product quality assurance complying with Inghams Minimum Standard Procedures.
  • Manage the Quality Assurance team using coaching, developing, delegation and recognition to ensure they have the capability to meet performance goals.
  • Coach people to help them develop a clear understanding of the requirements relating to Maintenance, Animal Welfare, Food Safety and Quality.
  • Compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements to ensure sanitary processing conditions.
    Monitor and keep within budget, seeking approval for out of scope spend.
  • Monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Food Safety, Animal Welfare and Quality and reporting performance back to the team.
  • Understanding customer requirements and key drivers, pro-actively responding to customer feedback.

You will bring to this role

  • Demonstrated experience leading a quality management strategy.
  • Experience with managing customer relationships, understanding their requirements and educating them on best practices.
  • Proven experience implementing and monitoring Quality Management Systems.
  • Inclusive in management style, with the capabilities to create a collaborative and positive working environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of food production including food safety.
  • Ability to coach and develop others, monitor and measure performance and provide direct feedback.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships and influence senior stakeholders internal and external to the organisation.
