Job Description

Your opportunity to join our team

As Production Scheduler for our Turkey Primary Processing Plant in Tahmoor, you will be responsible for the generation and management of an optimized production plan. With an overlay of cost and OEE, you will be primarily focused on delivering a best-in-class customer service level across Australia.

Responsibilities include

  • Generate daily/weekly optimized production plans and schedules that balance supply and demand variables 
  • Work closely with the Production, Sales and customer service teams enabling clear communication and alignment of business outcomes 
  • Optimisation of plant resources and costs through identification and execution of scheduling improvements
  • Drive for continuous improvement in the planning/scheduling process and participation in specific projects as required
  • Resolve production planning issues as required, utilizing appropriate procedures and frameworks
  • Compile weekly reports on production performance, Inventory levels and providing recommendations on planning opportunities that can improve Plant productivity 
  • Challenge existing practices & promote planning efficiencies 
  • Promote a flexible and enjoyable work environment through constructive peer engagement   

You will bring to this role

  • Demonstrated knowledge and concepts of production planning/scheduling within a complex and fast-moving manufacturing environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with proven ability to make recommendations and deliver efficiencies and cost savings 
  • Passionate about driving continuous improvement initiatives 
  • Team player with strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate complex information cross-functionally in a structured way 
  • Ability to tackle multiple projects simultaneously with excellent time management and organisational skills whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail  
  • Intermediate and above Excel skills
