Your opportunity to join our Technology team!

The Technology Platform Lead - Coupa is a key technology role responsible for enterprise-wide administration of the Coupa Business Spend Management platform and broader procurement applications ecosystem. This senior position drives improvement initiatives, facilitates complex system integrations, mentors junior administrators, and serves as the subject matter expert for procurement technology solutions across the organisation.

This position can be based in Sydney, Brisbane or Adelaide.

 Key responsibilities:

System Administration and Configuration

  • Maintain and configure Coupa modules including Core Platform (Procure to Pay), Supplier Information Management, P2P Contracts, Risk Assess, Spend Guard, Coupa Sourcing Optimisation.
  • Manage configuration elements including approval workflows, content groups, company codes, chart of accounts, SIM templates, risk programs, etc.
  • Perform regular system audits and maintenance to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Maintain and revise system configuration documentation.

Platform Operations and Environment Management

  • Schedule and coordinate maintenance windows; communicate planned/unplanned outages; execute smoke checks post‑maintenance.
  • Manage non‑production tenants including refreshes, configuration migrations, and test data loads.
  • Maintain configuration audit trail and change log; ensure segregation of duties in change promotion.

Support Expertise

  • Serve as subject matter support expert for Coupa-related issues, escalating critical items as needed.
  • Drive problem management and resolution across functional teams, Coupa support and managed service partners.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for end-users and secondary administrators.
  • Create and maintain documentation for system processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.

Integration and Data Management

  • Oversee integration between Coupa and other systems, including data mapping and troubleshooting.
  • Manage bulk data uploads and ensure accurate data flow across systems.
  • Collaborate with technology team, finance and relevant parties to resolve integration errors and optimise system performance.

Release Management and Testing

  • Review Coupa release notes and assess impact on current configurations and processes.
  • Coordinate and execute Regression Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new features and updates. Coordinate sign off with process owners.
  • Implement change management strategies for system upgrades and enhancements.

Supplier and Catalogue Management

  • Coordinate onboarding waves; invite suppliers, manage CSP account linkage, and assist with enablement method (CSP, cXML, SFTP, SAN, etc).
  • Onboard suppliers and manage punchouts, catalogues, contracts, and PO/invoice transmission processes.
  • Ensure compliant invoicing and timely invoice posting in ERP systems.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to maintain catalogue accuracy.
  • Implement advanced supplier enablement technologies and self-service portals.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Generate and analyse reports to monitor system usage, compliance, and performance.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Support ad-hoc reporting needs across procurement and finance teams.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Supply Chain/Procurement, Finance/Accounting, Computer Science, or related field. Equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum 5 years administering and supporting Coupa (or comparable enterprise P2P / Source‑to‑Pay SaaS such as SAP Ariba, Oracle, Jaggaer) with at least one end‑to‑end Coupa production support or implementation cycle.
  • Proven experience in system configuration, integration, and support.
  • Coupa certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale procurement technology transformations.
  • Proven track record in enterprise application portfolio management.
  • Proficient in Coupa configuration across all major modules
  • Experience with REST APIs, flat file (CSV) loads, cXML, SFTP automation, and SSO (SAML)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and data integration tools.
  • Exposure to spend analytics, RPA bots, or AI/ML enrichment tools.
  • Understanding of procurement processes and financial controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong business acumen with deep understanding of procurement and finance processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience with change management and organisational transformation initiatives.
