Your Opportunity to Join our Team
As a Hatchery Assistant at Inghams, you will play a vital role in supporting the Mckees Hills team in NSW. This Casual position in the Farms & Hatchery department offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the operations of our hatchery.
This role will be for 6am start, 3-4 days per week (including Saturdays).

Daily Tasks
Assisting with the general operation of the hatchery
Monitoring and maintaining optimal environmental conditions for egg incubation
Carrying out regular checks on equipment and reporting any issues
Handling and moving eggs and chicks with care and precision
Contributing to the health and welfare of poultry by following established protocols
Working collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient hatchery processes
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the hatchery environment
You Will Bring to This Role
Previous experience working in a hatchery or similar agricultural environment
Understanding of animal husbandry practices, particularly in poultry
Ability to follow strict biosecurity protocols and health & safety regulations
Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
Good physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual handling tasks
Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
Familiarity with basic maintenance of hatchery equipment and facilities
