Our Maintenance Manager at Inghams Feedmill in Clyde oversees all maintenance operations for feed manufacturing equipment and facilities to ensure continuous, safe, and efficient production of animal feed products. This role involves managing preventive maintenance programs for grain handling systems, feed processing equipment, and facility infrastructure while ensuring compliance with feed, council and safety regulations.

Responsibilities include

• Lead a team of maintenance fitters including onsite contractors.
• Manage contractor safety requirements and site specific permits.
• Oversee maintenance of feed manufacturing equipment including hammer mills, mixers, pellet mills, and coolers.
• Maintain grain handling systems: bucket elevators, drag conveyors, screw conveyors, and pneumatic systems.
• Ensure proper operation of silos, bins, and grain storage facilities.
• Manage maintenance of scales, batching systems, and automated feed delivery equipment.
• Coordinate onsite and offsite contractors ensuring all regulatory compliances are met.

You will bring to this role

• Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Agricultural Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven maintenance management experience in feed manufacturing, grain handling, or similar agricultural processing.
• Strong knowledge of feed mill equipment: hammer mills, pellet mills, mixers, and grain handling systems.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drive systems.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and process control instrumentation.
