As Production Supervisor in our Live Bird area on the afternoon shift, you will play a pivotal role ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient production processes, while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. You will also possess strong care and compassion for upholding animal welfare.

Based at our Primary Processing site at Murarrie where currently 1.4 million birds are processed a week.

Responsibilities include: 

• Supervise and lead a team in the Live Bird area to meet production goals.
• Ensure compliance with safety, animal welfare, and food safety standards.
• Monitor operational performance and implement improvements where necessary.
• Provide hands-on support to the team, fostering collaboration and productivity.
• Oversee training and development to build team capability.
• Manage resources effectively to meet deadlines and achieve efficiency targets.
• Report on production outcomes and escalate issues as required.

You will bring to this role:

• Proven leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience in food production or meat processing is highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of safety and animal welfare practices.
• Excellent communication and team-building skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
• Computer literacy and experience with production systems are advantageous.
