Job Description
As a Hatchery Assistant at Inghams in QLD - McKees Hill, you will play a vital role within the 310 - HATCHERY department. This casual position in the Farm & Hatcheries category offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the operations of our hatchery. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the general operation of the hatchery
Monitoring and maintaining optimal environmental conditions for egg incubation
Carrying out regular checks on equipment and reporting any issues
Handling and moving eggs and chicks with care and precision
Contributing to the health and welfare of poultry by following established protocols
Working collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient hatchery processes
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the hatchery environment
The main tasks for this role involve:
Monitoring temperature, humidity, and ventilation systems to support successful incubation
Ensuring compliance with biosecurity measures to safeguard poultry health
Participating in training opportunities to enhance your knowledge of hatchery practices
