We are looking for a bright graduate to join Inghams’ Retail Team as a Category Insights Analyst!
The Category team is responsible for driving category thought leadership and strategic planning to unlock growth for Inghams and our customers. In this role you will support a team of Category Managers by leveraging data and research tools to provide insights & analysis that will unlock growth opportunities for our business.
Based in our Head Office you will experience an inclusive, friendly culture where collaboration, knowledge-sharing and diversity is supported. Inghams is more complex than you may imagine, offering many challenges and opportunities to work across multiple categories and customers. This role will require some travel to customer and supplier sites, so a driving licence will be required.
This role will suit a bright, data-minded graduate with experience in a commercial, category, or analytical role (ideally in retail or FMCG).
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor market trends and activity to inform tactical and strategic decisions
- Analyse sales, market and shopper data to uncover growth opportunities for us and our customers
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights through dashboards, presentations, and reports that will be used across the business
- Collaborate with internal teams, supporting with customer Range Reviews, monitoring NPD and market activity analysis
- Data management ensuring accurate and reliable data sources
- Agency Partner management including suppliers, Circana, and Quantium
Key requirements:
- Curiosity to question and the courage to answer
- Strong data analytical and presentation capabilities – turning data into actionable insights
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong presentation skills
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business or similar
- Knowledge of Microsoft suite and data visualisation tools advantageous
