Job Description

Your Opportunity to Join Our Team

We are seeking proactive and skilled Maintenance Fitters to join our Primary Processing Site in Murarrie. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure smooth and efficient production operations.

We offer flexible shift options to suit your lifestyle, including day, afternoon, and night shifts with full-time, fixed rosters available.

Available Positions:

  1. Afternoon Shift Frontline Fitter

    • Monday to Friday
    • 38 hours per week
    • 1:00 PM – 9:06 PM (1300-2106)
    • Full-time, fixed roster
  2. Day Shift Frontline Fitter

    • Monday to Friday
    • 38 hours per week
    • 5:00 AM – 1:06 PM (0500-1306)
    • Full-time, fixed roster
  3. Night Shift Frontline Fitter

    • Monday to Friday
    • 38 hours per week
    • 9:00 PM – 5:06 AM (2100-0506)
    • Full-time, fixed roster
    • Includes routine strip down and set-up of plant for nightly cleaning rotation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime
  • Conduct regular equipment inspections to ensure reliability and safety
  • Assist with plant upgrades, installations, and modifications
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve mechanical issues
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and parts used
  • Follow workplace health and safety standards at all times

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Trade qualification as a Fitter or Mechanical Engineer (essential)
  • Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing or food processing environment (preferred)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Flexibility to work day, afternoon, or night shifts as required
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems (desirable)
