Job Description
Opportunity to join our WA WHS Team!
The WHS Coordinator works collaboratively with Ingham sites to provide practical WHS advice and coaching to establish and maintain a safety culture. The role is responsible for contributing to the implementation of our Work Health and Safety Management System to achieve risk reduction strategies, implement proactive training programs and to provide assistance with Worker’s Compensation and Return to Work functions. The role involves working collaboratively with team members to achieve risk reduction / management, injury prevention and continual improvement. The role will be based at Inghams Processing Plant at Osborne Parks with the requirement to travel between sites.
Responsibilities include:
Work closely with all functional teams across the Ingham’s vertically integrated supply chain to implement and maintain the health safety and environmental systems.
Working with Distribution and Primary Processing & Farming teams to ensure compliance with internal and legislative requirements.
Support the business with internal and external audits.
Continuously assess the work environment for injury prevention, by engaging employees to work a culture of continuous improvement.
Investigate incidents and workplace injuries.
Prepare reports and KPI information to allow managers to make informed decisions for the business.
Training staff of the Ingham’s WHS practice and safety for life program related training
Maintaining files and documentation to meet internal and legislative requirements.

Experience working in a high-risk environment and driving a safety culture.
Comfortable working across multiple sites with diversity of regulations and challenges
Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate cross functionally to build strong relationships and influence key stakeholders.
Excellent analytical skills with the strong capabilities of working with multiple pieces of data and transforming them into meaningful relevant information for employees to understand.
Ability to work independently and able to be completing tasks autonomously without direction.
Ingham’s is self-insured environment, so experience of working within a similar environment with an understanding of maintaining compliance to regulatory requirements.
Cert IV in a WHS related discipline
Experience in Injury Management & Return to Work programs
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
