Your opportunity to join our team
We are looking for a motivated Leading Hand to join our team at Prestons Distribution Centre. As the 2IC to the Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting daily operations, leading by example, and ensuring efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
This is a hands-on role offered on AM shift, Monday to Friday (5:00 am – 1:30 pm), with overtime available on weekends.

Daily Tasks:
- Assist the Supervisor in overseeing daily operations and team performance.
- Lead and support the team to meet production and efficiency goals.
- Work on the floor as an operator, ensuring seamless operations.
- Maintain a safe and organised work environment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Monitor workflows, allocate resources effectively, and track progress.
- Identify and address Food Safety and Quality concerns.
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a fast-paced environment.
- Background in warehousing, distribution, or manufacturing (preferred).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a cold environment.
- A proactive approach with a focus on team development.
- Forklift license (required).
- Computer literacy and knowledge of workplace safety standards.
