As Maintenance Supervisor you are responsible for the leadership of the maintenance team and supervision of all planned and non-planned maintenance activities on the site.  

Partnering with the Reliability and Maintenance Planner and operational teams, you will be accountable for the execution of the maintenance plan and will reduce reactive maintenance and improve unplanned downtime ensuring on time start up and highest OEE on all equipment.  

You will foster a positive culture of best practice and effectively lead a team that embraces Inghams’ core values and behaviours.

Key responsibilities:

• Maintain high safety standards and compliance with existing safety systems to manage and minimise WHS risks
• Mentor and coach the maintenance team to develop their skills and develop open communications
• Lead the maintenance team to ensure the effective implementation of the maintenance strategy to maximise efficiency and productivity by reducing reactive maintenance and improving unplanned downtime of equipment
• Ensure the execution of safety and quality assurance practices into all repairs and maintenance activities and manage corrective actions in a timely manner
• Execute the maintenance plan in line with asset management standards with ongoing measurement of KPIs to identify reliability improvement opportunities
• Contribute to the capital planning and budgeting process by forecasting future needs and identifying improvement opportunities
• Create and maintain SWP’s to aid team in performing tasks in the agreed method and ensuring that training is up to date
• Recognise the importance of the Maintenance and Production team relationship by demonstrating and encouraging positive communication both ways
• Maintain internal system to ensure statutory requirements are tracked and maintained at all times

Key requirements:

• Extensive experience as a Team Leader or Maintenance Supervisor in a fast-paced manufacturing/ plant-based environment 
• Electrical qualifications and PLC experience
• Experience in a maintenance function that has site services in ammonia refrigeration, compressed air, gas boilers and heaters, advanced wastewater and trade waste treatment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence your team in a positive manner by maintaining an atmosphere conducive to team productivity and performance
• Proven task management skills with capability to manage multiple tasks, measure performance and meet deadlines while holding self and others accountable
• Hands on approach to technically lead the team and assist as required and build knowledge on plant and equipment, with a lead-by-example attitude
• Experience within a culture of 5S, TPM, LEAN/Six Sigma and CMMS (MAXIMO)
• Demonstrated results in implementing maintenance tactics to improve reliability, practices, and performance
• Strong working knowledge of best practice maintenance management and systems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop relationships and influence stakeholders based on comprehensive data analysis
• Proven attention to detail with skills data analysis, information processing and problem solving
