Job Description

Your opportunity to join our team

Inghams Primary Processing site at Murarrie is now recruiting a Quality Assurance Supervisor who will work closely and support the Quality Assurance Manager by ensuring accurate and cost-effective food safety, animal welfare and quality assurance monitoring and verification processes.

This role works closely with the operational team, leading and mentoring the sites quality control inspectors.

Enjoy the balance of working day shift commencing at 6:00am.

Daily Tasks

  • Supervise the implementation of quality assurance systems and procedures.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues, including corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure seamless quality integration.
  • Maintain accurate QA documentation, including reports and non-conformance records.
  • Support internal and external audits as required.

You will bring to this role

  • Experience in a leadership Quality Assurance role, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Previous experience in a ready-to-eat environment or meat processing (desirable).
  • External relationship building capabilities
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety regulations, quality management systems and auditing.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in computer systems related to QA processes.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Food Science, Quality Management, or similar (preferred).
