Job Description

Keep one of Australia’s most trusted food brands running

For over 100 years we’ve been bringing joy to tables and smiles to faces with the delicious food we craft. As we work towards becoming Australia and New Zealand’s first choice for poultry, we’re investing in our people and our future — and that starts with a strong, skilled maintenance team.

Ingham’s Primary Processing Plant in Burton is looking for a skilled, motivated, and safety-focused Industrial Electrician to join an established, diverse team that’s passionate, empowered, and ready to perform at pace.

This is a hands-on role where your fault-finding skills and electrical expertise directly keep our production lines moving — minimising downtime, solving real problems, and making a visible impact every shift. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working collaboratively, this is your opportunity to join a supportive, growing team with genuine career stability.

What’s in it for you

  • Immediate start
  • 4:4 rotating roster (12-hour shifts, 24-hour coverage) — consistency, recovery time, and a lifestyle that actually works
  • Earn up to $45.33/hr + 26.67% shift allowances on the rotating roster
  • 5 weeks annual leave for shift positions
  • Above-Award rates plus overtime opportunities
  • Stable, long-term career with an ASX-listed industry leader
  • Free, secure on-site parking
  • Employee discounts on products, travel, and more
  • Consistent weekly hours and genuine job security
  • A workplace where health, safety, and wellbeing come first

What you’ll be doing

  • Responding to and resolving production machinery repairs and breakdowns in a timely manner
  • Proactively reducing reactive maintenance through effective planned maintenance activities
  • Contributing to and helping implement planned maintenance programs
  • Working within and upholding Ingham’s policies, procedures, and maintenance standards
  • Delivering high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Promoting and maintaining a safe, healthy, and inclusive workplace
  • Ensuring safety standards and quality assurance practices are upheld in every repair and maintenance task
  • Identifying and escalating food safety, quality, and risk issues

What you’ll bring

  • A Class Electrical Licence (SA)
  • Demonstrated electrical maintenance experience in a commercial or industrial setting, including installations, fault-finding, repairs, and maintenance on production equipment
  • A strong commitment to working safely
  • Sound interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams
  • A proactive problem-solver’s mindset, with quick thinking under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively
  • Confidence interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Experience with CMMS software such as Maximo (advantageous, not essential)
  • A drive to identify and introduce improvements to maintenance practices and plant performance
