Your opportunity to support our sites at Ingleburn and Tahmoor!
The CI Lead is responsible for driving continuous improvement delivery across two sites — Ingleburn and Tahmoor, working directly with production teams, supervisors and site leaders to identify waste, run improvement events and see projects through to completion.
Project delivery is the core of this role. The CI Lead will own projects end-to-end, from scoping and data analysis through to implementation, verification and handover. Additionally, they will build the site's capability to sustain improvements independently, coaching leaders and middle managers to problem-solve without needing to be prompted.
This is not a support role - the CI Lead owns outcomes, holds the line on project completion, and connects site activity to Inghams' Finding 8 savings program.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify, scope and prioritise improvement opportunities using data analysis, yield studies, labour tracking and waste mapping.
- Lead CI projects through full DMAIC lifecycle, from problem definition to verified savings.
- Facilitate Value Stream Mapping (VSM) workshops and Kaizen events at both sites.
- Embed 5S and standard work to sustain improvements after project close.
- Maintain a pipeline covering at least 1.5x the annual savings target across both sites.
- Contribute to Inghams' company-wide Finding 8 savings program with verified, timely entries.
- Coach Site Managers and middle managers to lead structured problem solving and RCA.
- Develop site teams' confidence in Lean tools through on-the-floor support, not classroom training alone.
- Build and maintain a site CI training matrix.
- Identify and recognise improvement contributions at team level.
- Analyse site performance data and present findings clearly to site leadership and functional stakeholders.
- Track and report project ROI; flag risks to delivery early.
- Benchmark site performance against other Inghams FP sites to surface improvement gaps.
- Integrate safety risk assessment into all CI project scoping and delivery.
- Support yield and quality improvement through process investigation and standard work.
- Identify and deliver projects targeting energy, water and waste reduction.
Key requirements:
- Previous experience leading CI projects end-to-end in a manufacturing environment, from scoping through to verified delivery.
- Hands-on facilitation of VSM, Kaizen workshops, 5S implementation and tiered meeting design.
- Strong data analysis skills — able to work with production, yield and labour data.
- Proven ability to coach and influence across multiple levels, including on the floor with production teams.
- Comfortable managing workload across two sites with competing priorities.
- Minimum Lean Six Sigma Green Belt — or actively working toward certification.
- RCA Facilitator advantageous.
- Strong ability to gets things done and able to follow through on commitments and hold projects to completion.
- Able to build trust quickly with floor teams and senior leaders alike, collaboratively bringing people with them through change.
- A curious and data-led mindset, looking for the root cause, not quick fixes.
- Ability to thrive with autonomy; doesn't need close direction to stay on track.
We’re looking for people who are curious, caring, courageous and committed to join us; people who want to contribute their best work every single day and continue delivering deliciously good food that’s…Always Good!
Inghams values diverse experiences. If your skills align with some but not all of the listed requirements, we encourage you to still apply and explore the opportunity to join our team.
