Inghams Turkey Primary Processing site based in Tahmoor is now looking for a driven leader who will lean in and take ownership of two key area’s at site. Our people are the cornerstone of commitment, dedication and focused on excellence in safety, quality, and cost efficiency.
As the Production Supervisor on the morning shift you will ensure smooth, safe and efficient production processes, while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. This is a hands-on leadership position, where you’ll guide and support your team to achieve production targets, meet safety and quality standards, and continuously improve processes.
Responsibilities include
- Own the floor, oversee daily operations across Tray pack and Distribution, ensuring output targets, quality standards, and food safety requirements are consistently met
- Lead your team, direct supervision of Leading Hands and production employees; set the tone for performance, accountability, and culture
- Drive efficiency, monitor workflow, labour allocation, and throughput; identify and act on opportunities to reduce waste and improve productivity
- Lead Continuous Improvement, actively identify inefficiencies, waste, and process gaps; drive CI initiatives using structured problem-solving and engage your team in solutions
- Manage scheduling, coordinate staffing across shifts to meet daily and weekly production plans
- Champion WHS & HACCP, enforce compliance with all safety, hygiene, and food safety policies; lead incident investigations and corrective actions
- Maintain standards, ensure cold chain integrity, accurate despatch documentation, stock rotation, and on-time order fulfilment
- Develop people, support the growth of your team through coaching, on-the-job training, and performance management
- Communicate up and down, report accurately to the Production Manager; keep your team informed and aligned
You will bring to this role
- Proven supervisory experience in a food manufacturing or processing environment
- Strong understanding of WHS, HACCP, and GMP requirements
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced production setting
- Confident decision-maker who can act quickly and own the outcome
- A continuous improvement mindset — someone who doesn't accept "that's how we've always done it" as an answer
- Solid communication skills — written and verbal
- Competent with basic computer systems (roster management, reporting)
