As a Leading Hand you will lead a team to support our operations at Inghams Further Processing Facility at Edinburgh Parks on the cooking and cartooning lines. Your engaging and inspiring leadership skills will be imperative to the success of your team, and the business overall.
Two Leading Hand roles are now available offering morning shift Monday to Friday (some weekend work may be required).
- 5:00am to 1:30pm
- 7:30am to 4:30pm
These positions involves work in a cold environment.

Daily Tasks:
- Coach and develop the distribution/warehousing team to ensure they have the capability to meet the performance goals
- Report on operations and general work planning
- Establish, communicate and monitor safety standards and lead corrective action in areas of high risk
- Execute the site’s plan with ongoing measurement of performance, achievement of scheduled deadlines and allocating resources appropriately
- Liaising with your Supervisor and identify and manage Food Safety & Quality issues, hazards and risks
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing industry in a Team Leader position. Experience in food manufacturing and/or FMCG industry will be highly regarded.
- Ability to work in a cold environment.
- Strong focus on safety
- Proven communication and leadership skills to lead a team.
- Drive the continual improvement of both processes and people.
- A desire to build team capability through training and transfer of knowledge.
- Computer literate and comfortable using the MS suite.
- Proficient in Warehouse planning and operations.
- Experience managing information related to raw materials, product-in-process, packaging materials, finished product or packed stock.
- Following and maintaining GMP Compliance.
- Experience driving positive cultural change.
